An NFL assistant coach has been fired for a reported "incident" that took place in Mexico City over the weekend.

Kliff Kingsbury revealed this Tuesday afternoon that the Arizona Cardinals have parted ways with offensive line coach Sean Kugler.

Kugler didn't even make it to Monday night with his players and the rest of the Arizona coaching staff. Kingsbury sent him home on Monday morning.

It's unclear what "incident" occurred in Mexico City. But it's clear that it was bad enough for Kugler to lose his job.

"We relieved him of his duties, and he was sent home Monday morning prior to the game," adding, "It's challenging anytime you make a staff change in that type of manner," Kingsbury said, via Bob McManaman .

To add insult to injury, the Cardinals were totally outclassed by the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night in a 38-10 blowout.

Now, Kingsbury and the Cardinals need to find a new offensive line coach and running game coordinator.

Details are bound to emerge explaining the incident that got Kugler fired.
