DETROIT, Mich. (WLNS) – Three missing men, including one rapper from Lansing, were found dead in Detroit, the Detroit News confirmed .

Lansing rapper Armani Kelly, also known by his stage name Marley Whoop, went missing alongside two of his friends on January 21.

Detroit Police say Kelly, 27, Montoya Givens, 31, and Dante Wicker, 31, were all friends who were supposed to go perform at a club in Detroit called Lounge 31 .

Police say at some point, the performance got canceled.

That’s when the three men disappeared.

For weeks, Kelly’s family posted flyers around the state, asking for information on Kelly, Givens, and Wicker.

Kelly’s mom, Lorrie Kemp, says her son was passionate about music. Kemp says her son’s fiancée was worried after a performance was canceled last month.

“The next day she calls me and says I don’t got a good feeling and I emailed him, Messager and nothing, nothing nothing,” said Kemp.

According to the Detroit News, the three bodies were found in a building on the Highland Park border, near Palmer Park in Detroit.

Our CBS Detroit affiliate confirmed that Kelly’s mom was notified of the discovery.

“Every chance we were able to talk, we would talk on the phone or however,” said Kelly’s uncle, Manuel Nevarez. “He taught me to be able to reach for what you want to reach for – and be a bit more carefree.”

Nevarez says he and other family members are now waiting, for closure.

Police raided a Detroit home on Wednesday and brought a person in for questioning. It’s unknown if that person led the police to the bodies.
