NASCAR Star Tragically Dies

NASCAR is celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2023, and many drivers have competed in the top level of the sport over its three-quarters of a century as the top auto racing league in the United States.

One of the stars that made left turns on the tracks of NASCAR across the country has sadly passed away.

Trevor Boys was one of the all-time most successful NASCAR drivers to come out of Canada and has made more starts in NASCAR than any other driver from Canada with 102. Don Biederman and Patrick Carpentier each had 42.

He raced in NASCAR’s top-tier Winston Cup from 1982 to 1994 for both a family-owned team, as well as for some other teams. He had a couple of top-10 finishes in the 1980s for Hylton Motorsports.

His last attempt to qualify for a NASCAR Cup Series race was in 2009 at Richmond with Boys Will Be Boys Racing. He failed to qualify. His last cup race that he qualified for was in 1993.

He had appearances in the mid to late 2000s in the lower-tier Nationwide Series, as well as the Camping World Truck Series, appearing in races in 2007, 2008, and 2009.

Trevor Boys was 65 years old.

We send our condolences to the family and friends of Trevor Boys and the NASCAR community as a whole as they mourn this tragic loss.
