Two Christmas trees will be decorated in honor of Dee Ann Warner this season and you can be a part of keeping her spirit alive.

Dee Warner, mother of five and grandmother to six, was reported missing from her rural Tecumseh, Michigan home on April 25, 2021. Since then, the family has been desperate for answers. If you are unfamiliar with the case, you can learn more here.

Community support has been overwhelming at vigils and a rally to get Justice for Dee. People have been contacting law enforcement and elected officials demanding they take action. Now, folks can help pay tribute to Dee’s life and raise interest in her missing person case by making two iconic Lenawee County locations a little more beautiful.

One tree will be at the Lenawee County Fair & Event Grounds and part of the Christmas Lights Drive Thru December 16–18, 2022. The other will be a part of the 9th Annual Comstock Christmas Tree Riverwalk in downtown Adrian. The Comstock Park Tree Lighting Ceremony is December 2, 2022, at 7:30 PM.

“For those who do not know Dee on a personal level, she absolutely loved Christmas and her house and presents showcase this love. Her presents were so neatly wrapped and always included ribbons. Each present wrapped with love and each present handpicked. She loved spoiling those she loved and cared about, and they knew it!” said Stephanie Voelkle, friend of Dee Warner.

“Dee made Christmas special for everyone around her. She loved making people happy. Dee often ‘adopted’ a family in the community and surprised them with gifts. That’s just how she was — always the first to help someone in need,” said Amy Alexander, friend of Dee Warner.

A Justice for Dee Amazon Wish List has been created for people who would like to help make Dee’s trees look extra special. They will be decorated in Dee’s signature style and in purple to represent domestic violence awareness. You can have items shipped to Amy Alexander at 7804 Elton Highway, Tipton, MI 49287 or Stephanie Voelkle at 2285 Greenview Drive, Adrian, MI 49221. If you prefer, you can send Hobby Lobby gift cards that will be used to purchase additional decorations.

Most of all, Dee’s friends ask for people to keep Dee’s children and grandchildren in their thoughts and prayers. If you’d like to stay up to date on Dee Ann Warner’s missing person case, join the Justice for Dee Facebook page for all the latest information.

If you’d like to share a special memory of Christmastime with Dee Ann Warner, I’d love to hear about it in the comments.
