Donald Trump has had a history of dunking on the Oscars.
He couldn't resist posting about the show on Sunday, too.
"A really bad politically correct show tonight," Trump said in a Truth Social post .
It's safe to say that former President Donald Trump didn't enjoy this year's Academy Awards ceremony.
"A really bad politically correct show tonight, and for years — Disjointed, boring, and very unfair," Trump said of the Oscars in a Truth Social post on Sunday.
"Why don't they just give the Oscars to those that deserve them. Maybe that way their audience and TV ratings will come back from the depths," he continued.
Besides dunking on the awards, Trump also took pot shots at this year's host, Jimmy Kimmel .
"Has there EVER been a WORSE HOST than Jimmy Kimmel at The Oscars. His opening was that of a less than average person trying too hard to be something which he is not, and never can be," Trump said earlier in his post.
Trump's scathing review of Kimmel and this year's ceremony didn't go unnoticed. The late-night talk show host clapped back at Trump near the end of the ceremony.
"Thank you President Trump. Thank you for watching. I'm surprised you're still ah — isn't it past your jail time?" Kimmel said after reading out Trump's Truth Social post.
This isn't the first time Trump has panned the awards show. Back in 2018, when Trump was still in office, he blasted that year's ceremony and claimed it was the "lowest rated Oscars in history."
"Problem is, we don't have Stars anymore – except your President (just kidding, of course)!" Trump wrote on X.
"Go back 15 years, look at the formula they then used, change the name back to THE ACADEMY AWARDS, don't be so politically correct and boring, and do it right. ALSO, BRING BACK A GREAT HOST," Trump said.
